Many artists don’t get the opportunity to study a business course, nor do they have the time to invest in a 6 or 12 month course…or find that some courses just don’t cater to their business of how to move from being a hobby to an emerging artist and beyond.

I have 20 years of working as a professional artist and being in my own business and consulting other businesses in arts and other related industries in person (internationally) including 8 years working online to help you on your journey in the Business of being an Artist.

This 12 hour course is targeted at where you are now as an artist, and will help you plan a strategy to develop your business model and move forward in your art world, to become the type of artist you want to be.



During this 12 hour Masterclass you will learn:

  • How to shift your mindset as an artist to understanding the Business of being an Artist and how to present yourself professionally to galleries, clients, public exhibitions/demonstrations.
  • What type of artist do you want to be and how to communicate that effectively and consistently in Artist statements and your bios and art descriptions for exhibitions, writing an effective Art CV- essentially creating your own PR and Media profile which is ready to send off as needed.
  • How to set up your business as an artist professionally.  What do you really need that’s affordable and grows as your business grows, studios, buying your supplies at great prices, keeping good records of your stock, best ways to receiving payments online, contracts, commissions, insurance, building clientele and maintaining good relationships with them.
  • How to create a one page business plan and one page marketing plan.
  • How to target your ideal client and find more clients and learn how to build an on going system for building a relationship with them.
  • What types of marketing strategies (cards, mail outs, newsletters, promos, banners, online etc) can I use which are affordable and are not a waste of money?
  • Create a marketing system to start immediately.


This masterclass is an investment in your career as an artist, providing you with effective strategies which you will keep applying throughout your career as it grows.

At the end of the course, you will come away with hands on planners and a step by step, strategic approaches that you can implement, at your pace and with confidence- because it’s tailored to YOU.  It’s about learning how to be organised with a system that works (sometimes hard for us artists when all we want to do is paint!) and balance our business side so we can keep painting.
